| I must agree with a good friend and echo what she said, "Jesus is huge", it was made more evident this weekend at an awesome leadership retreat.
And If you all don't know, there is a group called Chi Alpha, and it's better then sliced bread, the people are awesome and fun (even when they do the "truffle-shuffle" in your face). Community rocks, if you all don't got it, get it............"Got Community?" forget the milk (pause for laughter).
And....there are two awesome people you should meet in your life....props to the Brannans who put on an excellent weekend. Their teaching, wisdom, and coolness rocks. If you missed it.....well, then buy the tape (isn't that what is usually said.) Seriously though, S&L you guys make it enjoyable. Brit. you rocked too!
| Hello everyone! I know, it's been like a billion years since I've last updated.....but....like superman....he may have left for a while.....but when he returned....HE STILL WAS SUPERMAN!!......and he got the cute girl. (ok I my head is getting larger as I speak :)
So...I'm sure you all would love to have an update about what's been up....and you will get it....soon....I promise. But for now...something more amazing. Tonight I got to share Jesus with a Chinese man (which by the way....a little sneak peek....I just back from China two weeks ago)! He asked me to talk to him, for he wanted to know why Jesus had to die! Come on now....it doesn't get easier then that....Amen! So for a whole evening we got to walk and discuss the concept of sin, that all men fall short, and why the need for a perfect sacrifice was needed, and Jesus was it, and how. And I think he understood it....at least language wise :)
He also wanted to know why Christians were so happy. In China he saw the Christians being so happy. So again the oppurtunity was placed to tell him that it is because of the Spirit of God living inside us, we have a heavenly home we are going too, and we are thankful for what God/Jesus has done and continues to do daily.
Then...we got to discuss how the Chinese culture didn't always believe in Buddha, or Confusious, or have an athesistic view, 4500 years ago (2500 BC.....the time...when recorded Chinese history began.....also about the time the "tower of Bable" happen and the cultures spread over the earth...hmmmmm....getting the picture here) they believed in one Supreme Heavenly God (Chinese name Shang Ti) meaning supreme heavenly ruler.
It was awesome, on many levels, mostly because it was all God, because before I picked him up, I was in a funk, depressed about some stuff weighing on me, but God pulled through, as always. And now, this guy and I will meet to do bible study. Yeah Jesus!
| It's my Birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!! (ok, so it was a few minutes in the past) 25 years, wow.......I'm young, wield, good looking.....more the Dan , and available....so, what you doing tonight (j/k about the availabe part)
Today was awesome, I got to eat lunch with a new friend who paid for me, propts to him, I got a stinkin awesome massage today too, it was amazing, I recommend it to everyone if you got the cash or can sweet talk a close friend. It was called a "hot rocks massage" where they use smooth hot rocks to massage your whole body, then they knee their arms into your deep muscles, it feels great!
Then when I got home, my awesome friend and roomie Pae and my friend who looks like an looks angel, Ashley (except when she wakes up in the morning) made me a "real men of genius" song representing me, and made me a cake. My other friends Heather and Nicole, and Sarah each made me something special as well. Then I got to make my own birthday and share it with a special friend....while hard puck rock music played in the background....it was....ever so sweet, in a fun way. Also a random Mexican, female too, song happy Birthday to me in spanish. Thank you all. It was very special.
Now...next year....surprise party....hint, hint, hint :)
| This whole xanga thing is kinda cool, time consuming, but cool :)
So since I'm new to this whole thing, I little about me...............I'm like a man standing on an ocean shore looking out into a vast expanse of endless possibilities. As I look out I see a long journey ahead, if I choose to engage it, yet a sweet sense of adventure if I chose to except it. Having graduated from the college life, I now entered into the career life. This is somewhat scary for me, for it is a new place, one filled with many learning curve challenges as well as new spiritual walk challenges. One thing I'm finding spiritually is that if you don't deal with something in college, it will follow you into your next life step. So my advice is deal with stuff quick...that was free advice too :)
Many people use this phrase, but it is so true, I'm on a journey, and within that journey there are many challenges and blessings. Challenges: trying to live a life worthy of the calling that has been given to me (and finding that calling), trying to obtain freedom in different areas spiritually, learning to juggle career and relationship, learning how to have relationships, walking out what I've already been taught, blessings: the people in my life that encourage me through their passion and excitement, my family's never ending support, the way God will gently whisper.
That's a small bit of me, tell me about you.......Wilson!!!!! (If anyone gets that I'll be impressed)
And if this gets read I'll be impressed, for that will mean I figured out how to use this site :)
O....and if anyone has seen a Mexican that is friends with an Indian who knows an African that's in love with a little country singer let me know.
